Bloom - First time Parent Support (0-6 month old babies)

Every week we host support classes for first time parents and their new born babies 0-6 months old. Our classes are aimed at support first time mothers and their partners with embracing life with a new born baby and everything that goes with that time. We provide emotional support and lots of guidance and signposting to local services. We can support individuals who require self-referrals and get them the much needed support that they need.

Blooming Marvellous
Blooming Marvellous Parent Support (6+ months - 3 years)

In 2022, we have expanded Bloom as we see parents who want to continue their support journey with us. Blooming Marvellous was named by our regulars and we love it. These are sessions with the focus being on socialising and support parents. You can come along, grab a cuppa and some refreshments and allow your babies to roll, crawl and explore the session. We have kindly been offered lovely toys, mats and books from Reigate & Banstead Council at Regents Hall Horley.

09:30 - 10:30am Regents Hall Horley

We are also supported by East Surrey Slings 10-10:30 each week and we welcome adhoc guests.

What parent support looked like in 2020-2021
We welcomed back parents in April 2021 in person and still do!

Ever since we opened our doors in 2019, we have run a small parent group, called Bloom, aimed at supporting new parents in their journey into parenthood, with a specific focus on new mothers. We have continued to run this group online, but in October 2020 we had the opportunity to run this as a drop in group face to face, at two locations, the Woodhatch Centre and the Regents Hall location in Central Horley.
We believe that all new mothers should have a safe space to come. They will be supported in learning vital
skills in motherhood, feeding, practical advice and above all be able to make friends and
have people to talk to.
We aim to support all new mothers, irrespective of gender, ethnicity, economic background or otherwise.

In the current climate, it is more vital than ever that mothers get the support that the deserve and so desperately need and that's why we created Bloom. Using the professional backgrounds, expertise and relationships that we have formed with local practitioners and experts we can provide a great, safe space to come.
"Thank you for organising this class. Today I visited Horley and I met 5 other mums, who I have now swapped numbers with and have already met with some for a cuppa and walk outdoors. I really enjoyed it! Thank you"
